NJROTC
Welcome to the Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps
The Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) Program is an accredited curriculum that emphasizes youth citizenship, leadership development, our country’s maritime heritage, navigation and oceanography.
Classroom instruction is augmented throughout the year with extra-curricular activities such as community service, athletics, drill and field meets. The program is open to all ninth through 12th grade students enrolled at Jesse Bethel High School as well as any students who apply for an intra-district transfer from Solano Middle or Vallejo High School.
Upon successful completion of three years of naval science, cadets will receive a certificate of completion that will allow them to earn more money and greater responsibility if they join the military after school. Students who choose college after high school will be better prepared and more competitive for acceptance into the more prestigious universities, military service academies, and ROTC programs.
