Kaiser Clinic

Kaiser Permanente joined with VCUSD to open its first "Teen Health Clinic" at Jesse Bethel High School in 2007. The goal is to make a visit to a health care provider more accessible, right on the school grounds.

This clinic provides health care for all Jesse Bethel students, even if they are not enrolled in the Kaiser Permanente health care system. The services are always FREE, although prescription costs vary. The health center provides teen health services, including pregnancy tests, birth control, and testing and treatment for STDs.

The Kaiser Permanente Bethel Health Center will be open on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, and will be open every other Tuesday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. Students are served on a drop-in basis.

The clinic is set up to ensure privacy, with two small exam rooms and a separate waiting area.

California confidentiality laws allow the health center to counsel students about pregnancy-related issues and sexually transmitted diseases without parents' consent or knowledge.
